The first step in partnership is producing for response. The key element to producing for response is to present an opportunity for people to engage your ministry via an offer. The offer could be as simple as buying a book or teaching series.
Regardless of what you want to get your viewers to respond to, you must first understand why you desire them to respond.

Our why is the same as God's why: people.
It's about connecting with people to bring them to a relationship with Christ. It's about providing them with resources to develop their relationship with Christ. It's about creating disciples. It's not just about asking for something for you.

But let's shift the paradigm a little bit.
So often, ministries don't offer their products to their viewers because they don't want to be viewed as trying to sell something. But if ministries never offer anything, how will people continue to be impacted? How will people grow and partner with what God is doing?

Step 1: Begin with the end in mind.
Even God says that He saw the end from the beginning in Isaiah.
First, you must sit down and define your target audience. You want to make sure this program gets to the right audience you are called to touch. Now that you know you will be reaching the right people, how do you want viewers' lives to be changed after they see your program, post, or video?
Certainly, you want to minister to them, but what long-term goal do you want them to buy into for themselves? Because from that point forward, everything in the production should move towards accomplishing that goal.
Understanding what your end is, what you want to offer, and how you want to present it to them will get you well on your way to producing for response and increasing your ministry's impact and support!
Do you want to encourage people in their faith?
Do you want to grow people's daily discipleship?
Do you want to help people with being better evangelists?
Do you need funds for a ministry project or cause?
The final question in this process of beginning with the end in mind is critical. You must answer it as thoroughly as possible. How do you want the viewer's life to be changed? What do you want them to feel, think, and understand?
Step 2: What will you offer
You have decided what impact you would like to make on them. Now, you have to determine what you will offer this viewer to take action and receive something that will extend beyond your program, post, or video. This part is almost as important as step 1 because if you don't know what you are offering, you won't know how to convey it to your viewers!
Do you want them to order a product? Order a book or series?
Do you want them to go to your website and download a prayer guide?
Do you want them to call for prayer?
Do you want them to donate to a project or your cause?
Step 3: Create an effective and engaging offer
You know who you are talking to?
You know what you want them to take action on?
Now, how will you make sure that your offer is effective and engaging?
